Is it Effective? Water Fasting 24 Hours To Detoxify Weight Loss
Is itEffective? Water Fasting 24 Hours To Detoxify Weight Loss - Many people I
talk to want to fast, but believe that unless they do it for three, seven or
more days - Not even there to do Water Fasting. Well, I'm here to tell you that
nothing is further from the truth.
Water Fasting
even for ONE day can help you begin to benefit from this life-saving practice
- and give you a real experience of how your body reacts when you don't eat
solid food. Water fasting can do wonders for your digestive system.
To be sure, the digestive system is very grateful
when given the opportunity to take a break from the digestive process which is
often endless. When given this pause, the body can shift its focus to heal
other organs and areas that may be painful - not to mention cleansing the colon
which is facilitated by fasting.
Water fasting one day is done methodically and
regularly giving a type of rest that can dramatically help your digestive
system and overall health. One day fasting can help you lose weight
continuously. This method is safe because you don't have to start a tiring
exercise program, or take any medication to get the benefits of weight loss and
detoxification.
Water fasting for a full 24 hour cycle once a week or
once every two weeks is definitely a way to do it if you are new to this
practice. Try it once and success will increase your confidence and often lead
you to fast longer.
That's how it
is with me.
Right
Fasting
The following is a method of doing water fasting one
day:
* Decide on certain days for the 24-hour cycle not to
eat solid food.
* When Hunger comes, take a Big Glass and drink
* You can start, say, by eating your last meal at 8
pm and then go to bed, fast the next day, and break the fast at 8 pm.
Successful fasting has three stages:
- Preparation,
- Actual fasting, and
- Fasting.
Each of these stages is important.
Prepare to
fast
It is very important for you to prepare yourself
mentally and physically before fasting or you will find it difficult to leave
one day without food. Simple mental preparation, but very important.
Do this:
* The night before fasting makes a firm resolution that
you will not eat no matter how much hunger strikes.
* Taking a firm stance helps you stick to your
decision.
* Strong determination will give you strength when
you are tempted to give up.
Physical
preparation is also very important.
The day before you fast, prepare your body by eating
normal amounts of food.
* Don't eat too much thinking that you are storing
food for fasting. This will cause cramps that are very uncomfortable and hunger
will be stronger than it should be.
Fasting Day
During the fasting period, it is best to limit
yourself to light physical tasks and concentrate as much as possible on
introspection and spirituality. Use this fasting period constructively.
Meditate on the scriptures, pray or read inspirational books - take the time to
check where you are in life, and what areas you want to improve.
This can be spiritual, mental, physical, social and
even financial. It is often helpful to write a list of problems that you want
to solve and then use the fasting time to pray and meditate to receive
inspiration and guidance. * If you cannot take this "break time"
because of active work or family schedules, then continue your business but
maintain an "internal" attitude of prayer, meditation, and
contemplation.
The way I achieve it is not to give my time to spend
my thoughts, but, more precisely, I make a point of switching from time to time
- focusing only on what I do one second, one minute at a time. You will be
surprised how often we live our days
activities that only think of the future or are
obsessed with the past. This negates now and can make us in a state of
confusion, stress, and anxiety.
Breaking the fast
The benefits of fasting can be truly enjoyed only if
you break your fast the right way. Don't do it like I did at first and rest
fast with a full meal. You can experience abdominal cramps and, in some cases,
become seriously ill. In the morning or evening after fasting, break it by
drinking lemon juice or grape juice diluted with water.
Drinking lemon
juice with a little salt helps remove toxins from your digestive system.
Wait for about four hours and then eat a light soup or salad with lime. Please
- NO heavy bandages at this time! Four hours after that you can eat a little
poultry, salad, and maybe steamed vegetables or brown rice.
The next day
you can continue your routine eating habits. Of course, the fasting period
will hopefully give you time to reflect on how you eat. It is important to
realize that fasting only to return to destructive food will limit its
benefits. After breaking the fast, make a resolution that you will start away
from destructive eating.
“This is not
done in a day, and you might stumble a lot - but no matter what, keep going and
never give up! Periodic fasting as described here is clearly one of the
elements of a balanced and sustainable weight loss program.”
